MKR champs bring bangas to the table

THINGS are heating up around Bundaberg’s night markets, Riverfeast, with some famous faces joining the line-up on Friday night.

Dan and Steph Mulheron, the Hervey Bay couple who took out My Kitchen Rules in 2013, are bringing their popular EAT stall to the Scotland St venue.

We've heard good things about Riverfeast, and we haven't done our sausage stall in Bundy, so it's a first for us,`` Dan said.

The drawcard at the stall will be a bit fancier than your average sausage sandwich.

“It’s a nice crusty roll with our famous Italian sausage, topped with Asian-style apple slaw, a choice of chipotle, garlic or blue cheese aioli, and a bacon and parmesan crumb.”

If things go well, the Mulherons hope to bring the stall to Riverfeast every week.

Dan was looking forward to seeing “familiar faces” in Bundy.

“Some people come down and visit us every month and get a few packs of snags.”

Organiser Karen Wittkopp said she got in touch with the duo after eating at their popular EAT cafe in Hervey Bay.

“It’s just really different, gourmet types of food,” she said.

This week the Wittkopps have acquired three more stallholders and had two function inquiries for the riverside venue.

“It’s really put us out there,” Mrs Wittkopp said.
